Istituto Zones Contenuti Culturali is active in the protection, discovery and preservation of tangible and intangible heritage related to the traditions and folklore of Val Resia, Italy, on the border with Slovenia. Zones carefully ethnographically collects objects, clothing, and artifacts of mountain life in the Resia Valley; it also collects memories, voices, sounds, dances, and unwritten melodies.
“Zones” in the Resian language means “for us.” A way of emphasizing the relationship between places and identity.
